conundrum

  /kəˈnəndrəm/
noun
  1. A confusing and difficult problem or question.
  2. A question asked for amusement, typically one with a pun in its answer; a riddle.

oh how I wish there could be a pun at the end of this road
pun means I'll be laughing when I get there
an ironic twist that will make me giggle
not with sarcasm laced karma
which I'm sure I completely deserve
but with a happiness that everything was right
and a joke for punctuation
yea, that would be fine

to make
I know at least for me, that the act of making is exhausting
it involves every iota of being
a tiny life force is born, exists, and evolves when something is made
I become the guardian of that force, I will it into being, shape it to our consensual will and then move it forth into its mature form

I've spent the last couple months creating a language of design for the furniture elements of our upcoming permanent exhibit at CMNH
a series of maple slabs, inlayed with interactives
magnetic 3d printed skull puzzles, fossilized footprints, and enormous touch screens
each piece contains reclaimed parts of the forty year old exhibit we removed
lots of routing and nail guns, a couple hand tools here and there

 lots of laminating
 nothing really to write about

to relax I've been working on this

 always wanted a panel gauge

I really don't think I need to describe what you are seeing here
it's about as straightforward as it gets

and just because the stars lined up some extra cash was to be had and the necessity was there

there's no better time to learn than now

so while I wallow in a sea of uncertainty
a future unknown
why the hell are you still here, go out there and make something!
